Toys to sell online for the first time in the UK could be the perfect opportunity for retailers to launch their own online toy stores, according to toys company DinotrueX.
The company has been planning a toy launch for the new year, and has been looking to build an online toy marketplace that could be an alternative to brick and mortar stores.
“We are really excited to be able to launch our own online platform and be able offer our customers a platform that will be easy for them to access,” said DinotudeX CEO Tom Smith.
“With our network of over 1,200 retailers and over 20,000 online customers, our aim is to be the number one online toy store for kids across the UK and Ireland,” he added.
The launch of a toy online store will allow consumers to find a toy of their choice for just £20 a pop, which will give them the opportunity to buy a new toy every week.
The new toy marketplace will offer more toys for less, and will also allow consumers with toy shopping restrictions to get in on the action.
“It’s an incredible opportunity for us to expand our toy sales into other markets and cater for a broader range of interests in our communities, and it will also enable us to increase our online presence to more people,” said Smith.
A number of toy retailers have already started accepting orders for toys online, including Toys for Bob, which is accepting pre-orders for its “Toy Wars” series of action figures and a toy called The Kingpin.
But while the company has launched its online toy shop, it says that it will be expanding to other countries in the coming months.
“This year, we are planning to roll out our toy store across Europe, Asia, Australia and the US,” Smith said.
“Our plans are for us and our retailers to be in over 50 countries across the world by the end of 2017, and to be offering a full range of products.”
